Il Museum of Science and Industry, noto anche come MOSI, è un museo di scienze tecniche e naturali situato a Tampa, in Florida. È un'organizzazione no-profit che offre un'ampia gamma di mostre e programmi educativi per ispirare e coinvolgere i visitatori nell'esplorazione della scienza e della tecnologia.

Il Planetario Saunders

Nel 1992 è stato inaugurato il Saunders Planetarium all'interno dei locali del Museo della Scienza e dell'Industria. È l'unico planetario di Tampa e offre ai visitatori un'opportunità unica di esplorare il cosmo attraverso i suoi vari spettacoli e mostre.

Bambini al comando! Mostra

Nel 2005 il Museum of Science and Industry ha creato "Kids in Charge!", la più grande mostra scientifica per bambini degli Stati Uniti. Questa mostra interattiva è stata progettata per coinvolgere i bambini nell'apprendimento della scienza e della tecnologia in modo divertente ed emozionante.

    I encountered an extremely unpleasant and unprofessional management experience during my visit to this museum. A distressing incident occurred when my friend's two-year-old child accidentally became trapped behind an automated door in a dark room. The child was terrified and screaming in fear, and despite our desperate pleas for urgent assistance, the management was slow to react. When the manager Named "Austin" finally arrived, their lackadaisical and relaxed attitude compounded the distress of my friend, who was already traumatized. Rather than understanding the gravity of the situation and prioritizing the child's rescue, the management chose to argue with the parent, questioning their request for immediate action. Instead of offering an apology, they abruptly instructed us to leave the museum without refunding our ticket costs. As we continued to express our dissatisfaction, the situation escalated to the point where the manager called the police, eventually agreeing to refund our money but insisting that we leave. Even the police officers recognized the situation and empathized with the parent, highlighting the manager's clear lack of maturity and professionalism. Our attempts to escalate the matter to higher authorities proved futile, leaving us disheartened by the manager's rude demeanor, egoism, and apparent unsuitability for such a responsible position. This unfortunate incident not only marred our holiday but also affected our child's perception of museums in a negative way.
